Borrow the tools you need from neighbors you trust.
Why buy an extension ladder or miter saw you only use twice a year? The Shared Shed lets tight-knit neighborhoods, church groups, and friends pool their gear safely—with clear condition tracking and zero awkwardness.
Use a neighbor's invite code, or start your own private circle.
Check availability, book dates, and unlock pickup after the owner approves.
Log condition on the way back so the next neighbor knows what they are getting.

How the trust model works
The awkward questions, answered in the rules instead of a group text.
Who owns the tools?
Neighbors keep their own gear. The shed is the catalog and the rules, not a warehouse. You list what you are willing to share, and you stay the owner.
Is borrowing free?
Yes. Pods are for sharing, not renting. There is no fee to join, request a tool, or lend one.
What if something is late or damaged?
Late loans get a reminder. If a tool comes back damaged, the owner takes it out of service until they repair it. Arranging and paying for repair or replacement stays with the owner and the borrower—the shed does not bill anyone. Two damaged returns pause borrowing until a pod admin clears it.
Lending and borrowing is at your own risk. The shed operator is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items. Read the Terms of Use.
